Amazing Race in Singapore: 3 Day – Itinerary II
We wake up at 6:30 am, but we left around 8:00 am.
The accommodation is a bit far from MRT, we thought that it will take like 5-8 minutes walk, but no, wah! This is exercise at it’s finest. Apparently, people are accustomed to walking (fast) here.
Ok, we made it to the MRT, we must buy EZ-Link worth S$12 with S$5 refundable (when you return the card) and you need to maintain S$3 to your EZ-link.
So we are in Tampines and we are going to Tanjong, because we want to visit the red design museum, hmm, just for pictures. We were also tired, and need to buy a bottle of water, which is quite expensive.
After red museum, we went to Outram station and ride the MRT to Harbourfront … we went to Vivo city to enter Sentosa. Sentosa entrance was S$3, shuttle included. We got off at the waterfront which is the station to Universal Studios Singapore. Yay! We can see the globe that has the UNIVERSAL STUDIO … this is it,
We entered the USS and picked the S$5 food and S$5 souvenir vouchers. OK, start the picture, I mean the rides and attractions … picture here, picture there. We were like children again.
We were hungry before lunch time, because we only eat crackers that morning. We look for something to eat.
We bought a chicken burger meal which cost S$8.80. We used our food vouchers so we just paid for S$3.80 each.
So time to move after that heavy lunch.
It’s 4:00 pm, and we’re still waiting in line for the canopy. Wah! And they announced that the last show for Waterworld will be 5:00 pm. I hope we make it. We were able to ride the canopy around 4:50 pm, that only lasted like 5 minutes, LOL.
So we run towards the Waterworld! Yes, we made it.
We really like the shrek 4D, canopy, and roller coaster (I forgot the name), the mummy and water world. And of course, picture with the characters. We weren’t able to see the Jurassic Park. We plan to go to Siloso around 4:00 pm, but kinda lost track of time. By the way, we used the souvenir vouchers and just bought pens from USS, LOL
OK, Siloso beach, hmm, because it’s already late, we just took pictures and walk around. We don’t have plans of swimming because we don’t have any extra shirts, .
Wow, at this point, we were really dog tired.
We said that we will go to Raffles, but apparently we are so tired (literally can’t walk?). And it’s already 9:00 pm, so we went home, and we weren’t able to eat dinner ’cause all the stores were closed (so unfortunate?) and on top of that we need to walk for 15-20 minutes.
And before we rest, we just ate crackers, washed, and then time to sleep and wake up at 6:30 am the next day.
Sounds like you had a tiring but really fun day! I think it’s awesome that you tried to go to as much attractions as you can. I’ve never been to Singapore before and would love to visit someday soon!
Sounds you had an amazing day! I have never visited Singapore, but I hope I can visit it some day!
Welcome to Singapore! Universal Studio is a whole day race especially weekends. We just bought our tickets last week to USS unfortuantely weather hasn’t been good (raining most of the time). Will wait for a good weather weekday to go Universal Studio next time:)
Which was your favorite rides in USS?
Wow. Seems like you did fit in a lot in day. I would be flat tired if I did that! Kudos anyway.. great energy!
Wow, we are visiting Singapore this year and this post so makes me much excited to do the activities and have fun. Sentosa looks a great place to have some fun with kids.
You had a very active day! I can only imagine how tired you were by the end of the day! 🙂 Singapore is really a place to visit for everyone, thanks for sharing your story!
Would love to travel to Singapore some day. I’m surprised that bottled water is so expensive there. My favourite photo of your day excursion was the Red Museum. It looked fabulous. The building is so beautiful.
That sure looked like a fun filled day for you! I haven’t been to Singapore yet, but reading all about the cool places, events and activities you can do there makes me really want to go!
I WISH TO VISIT SINGAPORE SOMEDAY. THANKS FOR THIS POST
