4 Days in South Korea..the land of the morning calm III
One Whole Day Everland Resort.
And we’re late, haha.
We left the hostel quarter to 10:00 am. From Myeongdong to Gangnam station. It’s far from the hostel, like 17 stops/stations (we were able to nap, almost). From Gangnam station, we looked for the bus stop for #5002 to Everland. It’s in front of krispy kreme. It’s just 200m from the subway. Well, hint is, all of the people will most likely go there during weekend. And yup, we saw them, waiting for the bus too.
We used our t-money to pay for the bus ride ? Actually we didn’t know what stop we need to alight. But we think most of the people in the bus will go there. So we will just follow their lead
After 40 minutes, we’re here! From the stop, we need to ride the shuttle (it’s free) to Everland Resort for 15 minutes. We’ve got discount coupons for tourist on their website. ₩3,000 off/each. We pay ₩35,000 instead ₩of 38,000 ? We bought some light snacks inside, ’cause we were kinda hungry too after that trip.
We went for some sightseeing, like Safari, Sea Lion etc. Before riding the T-express.
In safari we saw a white bear (so happy!). They have some shows, but they just have it in Korean language. We still went to see the show, even though we can’t understand it ?. But the show was really good as well as the sea lions.
T Express is a wooden roller coaster.
We had a hard time looking for the T-express. I mean we can see it, but can’t find the entrance. Haha.
We really like to try this one, we don’t really care with the other rides.
It is really popular, because we saw how long the line is. But we decided to wait (I hope it will not take an hour).
While waiting, some guy offered us a VIP tickets for the t-express. At first, we’re not sure if he’s really giving us a fast pass in the t-express, ’cause c’mon that’s a fast pass, haha.
But then, he repeat himself, and wanted us to have those fast pass. Okkkkk? then what’s the catch, haha
Nothing, he said the his friends, doesn’t want to go to the T-express, and don’t want the pass to be wasted. Sure! so we took the tickets, and thank him. What a nice guy! ?
We went straight to the express lane, and the tickets were accepted (so it’s real, LOL)
Our waiting time got reduce to 10mins, wow!!!
So it’s time. We’re really excited. But guess what, it was really extreme ride. This had been the longest 5mins of my life. OMG!!!!! ?
When we were up there, I was screaming, then I stopped screaming, ’cause I’m having a dry throat already. And then my necklace got into my forehead, and had a small bump (the necklace has a medium pendant). Honestly, I really want it to stop! I thought, I will fall from my seat (any time).
When it was done, we were relieved and speechless, because, we felt sick. We rested for a bit, to get ourselves together.
At least we experienced it, right? ?
We saw the human skyway and decided to ride it all the way down. Our legs were still wobbly from T-express. We didn’t wait for the fireworks, and decided to go home at 5:00 pm. ‘Cause it’s getting chilly and we wanted to rest early that night.
So back to free shuttle, then to bus going to Gangnam station.
When we were in the city, we planned to visit the Bau Haus, but, sadly we can’t find the place.
We really don’t have energy to walk, luckily, we found Paris Baguette. For hot chocolates and pastries.
Then back to Myeongdong to shop for skin care products.
Myeondong. It’s just close to our guesthouse. Lots of people are going here to shop. Also some of the stores, give freebies.
We bought some, ’cause it’s really cheap.
We had a dinner too and got a good deal. ‘Cause it’s really delicious. It’s a marinated chicken with vegetables and pepper taste, then they’ll mix it in sizzling pan.
Time to eat! (we were sweating while eating this dish) ?
After that, we went back to shopping. Went to faceshop, forever21 and H&M. Actually we just went for window shopping, since all of the items were for winter.
We went back to guesthouse, and prepare our things ’cause our flight will be tomorrow night.
seems like you had so much fun

You definitely enjoy your stay there! South Korea is one of the places we would like to visit someday soon. Great pictures by the way!
Wow what an amazing time you had! You saw so much and did so much! Seeing a white bear is amazing, I would have loved to see that!
Seems like you had a lot of fun in South Korea, nice content cause my closest friend is from Korea and she recently invited me to visit. Now I know where to have fun.
Oh my goodness that ride sounds so scary! At least you didnt end up queueing so long for it! – Star Harford
Seems like you had an amazing trip in South Korea. That marinated chicken looks so delicious! I’d love to visit the country one day.
I like that you had a lovely trip with lots of fun things to do. If I were to travel there, i would need a few extra days to explore.
I like south korea. Although it’s not a touristic county, it has many great places to visit, but still that’s not what I’m usually looking forward. What I love the most about visiting S. Korea is all the elicious food and the shopping ?
You would never catch me on one of those rides lol…sound like you had a wonderful time…would love to visit one day.
South Korea is associated with many things and I have read many blog posts about people who visit there. But I think this is the first time I’ve read about someone visiting an amusement park! Sounds like you had fun.
Sounds like an awesome day trip with lively and lovely memories. I wonder if thats where the song Gangnam Style got its name from?
Very good read!
