Our Getaway: 14-Days in Canada – Things to do in Ottawa
When we arrived in Ottawa (seems like a long ride…sigh), we took an uber to the next airbnb. This one is a 30 minutes ride from downtown.
We asked the owner how can we get to Ottawa downtown the next morning, since it’s kinda far. But the room is nice and we have our own TV too, so not bad.
The next day, we had a dilemma. The bus was kinda slow, and took us 20 minutes waiting for the bus, and got a little impatient, because were kinda HANGRY,?
So we decided to go back to the house, and call the owner if he can help us call taxi. But the owner gave us a ride to the other bus stop, to downtown. This time it was quick. The bus is there after 5 minutes, he dropped us off.
After a 30 minutes bus ride, were in downtown already.
But we need to have some energy, so breakfast first at Tim Hortons.
And time for some Parliament Hill pictures ?
After the Parliament, we saw the statue of this famous runner, Terry Fox, in front of the Parliament.
And off we go to Rideau Canal.
We just walked to get there, I think, it’s a 10 minutes walk from the Parliament.
After seeing the Rideau Canal, we went to the National Museum, well I just want to see the spider, and that’s it.
And it rained, for 5 minutes, and then just showers. Good thing we have our umbrellas.
From the National Museum, the Mosaic 150, is just 15-min walk, so well, we decided to walked…but then we realized that’s it’s kinda far, or were just tired,?.
Finally, we made it.
So time for some garden sculpture pictures ?
This is just until Oct 15, started last July 1 for Canada Day.
After a long walk, we just ride had an uber to downtown and look for some big lunch ?
And time to go home, ’cause were done for today ?
We have an early ride to Toronto, through via rail. So time to rest ?
Canada is so beautiful. Looking at your pics, I just want to fly now. Great post.
Hey Laurence. The garden sculptures are pretty amazing!
